The partnerships that Premier Health shares with local organizations, leaders, and citizens are the foundation of our mission to improve the health of the communities we serve. Without them, our ability to identify much-needed community benefit programs and to bring health care where it’s needed most in our region would not be possible.

We never could have predicted the level of fortitude that would be required to uphold our mission this year, but together with our partners we stood strong – and our commitment to you never wavered. 

Each year, this report documents our support of outreach and partnerships that enhance lives and make a measurable difference for local residents. In order to provide a complete picture for a full year, the data we share is for the previous year’s activity. For 2019, Premier Health invested more than $222 million in community benefits, including more than $154 million in free care and other unpaid services to low-income families. These projects and services are a direct reflection of the dedication of not only our community partners, but also our physicians, staff, and volunteers.

This annual Community Impact Report provides a few examples of our mission at work in the Miami Valley. I invite you to learn how Premier Health is improving the health and welfare of our communities by filling a dire need for COVID testing in our region; advocating for awareness and the elimination of health disparities and social injustice; improving recovery for COVID-19 patients; supporting local schools and the future success of students; and providing access to vital dental services for underserved families.
