Patient and Visitor Code of Conduct

Premier Health is dedicated to giving you the best possible healthcare. We expect visitors, patients, and family members to refrain from behaviors that are disruptive or threatens the rights and safety of others.

Our Patient and Visitor Code of Conduct helps us keep a safe, healing environment focused on respect and kindness toward one another.

The following are not acceptable at any Premier Health facility:

  • Unlawful or harassing behavior that discriminates against someone’s race, accent, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other personal traits.
  • Any unwanted physical contact, including physical abuse or assault
  • Aggressive behavior of any kind
  • Sexual or vulgar words or actions
  • Taking photos or recordings without consent
  • Disrupting another patient’s care or experience
  • Making threats of violence or harassment in any form, including written, verbal, phone, or physical
  • Having firearms or any other weapons on a Premier Health campus

Violations of the Code of Conduct will not be tolerated. You will be given the chance to explain your point of view or actions. We will always carefully consider your response. Some violations may lead to reviewing your future non-emergency care at Premier Health or asking you to make other plans for your medical care. Visitors may be asked to leave the facility.

If you see or experience any of these behaviors, please tell someone on your care team!
