Programs and Services

The Well-Being Center is dedicated to developing and nurturing all aspects of a person through a variety of programs and services that combine healthy lifestyle with modern medical science and therapies to restore one’s natural balance of mind, body and spirit.

Winter/Spring 2020 Class Schedule

Pilates is a series of exercises developed by Joseph Pilates more than 90 years ago to help develop core strength and flexibility. Pilates is an excellent way to strengthen and tone muscles (especially lower back and abdominals), and can be used as part of some physical therapy rehab programs.

Pilates helps to improve posture, balance, flexibility and circulation, helps to reduce stress and helps to unite the body and mind. Whether on the mat or on the spring-based equipment, Pilates offers a full-body workout and can be adapted to many different ability levels.

Certified Pilates instructors staff the Pilates studio at the Well-Being Center. Our instructors offer private, semi-private and small group classes.

Massage therapy is one of the most ancient forms of healing arts. The Well-Being Center employs only licensed massage therapists who practice therapeutic massage using their fingers, thumbs, elbows and arms.

Massage provides many physiological benefits, while promoting an overall sense of well-being. People of all ages can benefit from massage therapy, including:

  • Anyone with a stressful lifestyle
  • Pre-/post-operative patients
  • People with emotional stress or depression
  • Cardiac patients
  • Chronically ill patients
  • Arthritis patients
  • Fibromyalgia patients

A therapeutic massage can:

  • Increase circulation
  • Increase range of motion
  • Improve sleep patterns
