Distress Screening To Better Support You

Cancer diagnosis and treatment can affect all aspects of life for you and your loved ones. Emotional, social, psychological, and/or spiritual concerns can interfere with your ability to cope effectively with cancer, its physical symptoms, and treatment.

To help make sure we understand your greatest concerns and meet your needs, our oncology social workers use a screening tool called the Distress Thermometer from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. After you complete the screening, your oncology social worker can follow up with you to provide personalized assistance and referrals. Our goal is to assist you on your cancer journey by helping to improve the distress, anxiety, and/or depression you may be feeling.

Request a Referral

If you would like assistance from an oncology social worker, please talk to your doctor or nurse, who can request a referral.
