Enrollment Requirements
Program enrollment is required to use the Natural Beginnings Birthing Center at Atrium Medical Center. You also must be under the care of an Atrium Medical Center provider to participate.
Here is enrollment information for first-time mothers. (If you're expecting your second or higher child, please see below):
- Please call (513) 974-4291(513) 974-4291(513) 974-4291 to sign up to attend a Natural Beginnings orientation class to review our birthing center process and receive the required paperwork. Ideally, you should schedule this class during your second trimester (around 22 to 32 weeks). Masks are required to be worn at all times while you’re in the hospital.
- Provide a signed consent from your physician confirming that you're at low risk and stating that he or she will provide care for you at our Natural Beginnings Birthing Center.
- Please sign up to attend an online childbirth education session.
- Attend a prenatal appointment with a Natural Beginnings Birth Center nurse, between 34 and 36 weeks, to return your required paperwork. Masks are required to be worn at all times while you’re in the hospital.
Returning Natural Beginnings mothers can call (513) 974-4291(513) 974-4291 to speak directly to a Natural Beginnings nurse about re-enrollment and requirements. Expectant mothers who are 34 or more weeks gestation also may call to discuss late enrollment options.
For Second Or Higher Children
If you're expecting your second (or higher) child and have not had a previous birth at our Natural Beginnings Birth Center, you will still need to enroll in the program and attend our orientation class as well as the prenatal appointment.
