Obstetrics

From the start of your pregnancy to the care of your precious baby, our obstetrics services blanket you and your family with compassionate, comprehensive maternity care. We also feature protocols and technologies that help ensure safety for you and your baby, including an FBI-reviewed security system that tracks every baby’s movement within each Premier Health maternity hospital.

If you’re pregnant and searching for a maternity center, consider the many reasons Southwest Ohio families choose Premier Health for maternity care:

Our Obstetrics Team

Our highly trained clinical obstetrics team has varied providers, including:

  • Obstetricians who work closely with you throughout pregnancy and after childbirth.
  • Labor and delivery nurses who monitor your progress and guide you through labor, delivery, and immediately postpartum.
  • Mother-baby nurses who care for you and your baby after birth until you’re released to go home.
    • Certified nurse midwives are advanced practice registered nurses who provide counseling and care before, during, and after pregnancy. Midwives oversee normal, low-risk pregnancies and help patients use natural coping mechanisms during labor.
  • Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultants who provide breastfeeding support and education before, during, and after your hospital stay.
  • Birth and family educators are registered nurses who are certified in childbirth education, and teach our birth and family education classes, covering topics such as labor and delivery, breastfeeding, and infant care.
