As a person living with or beyond cancer, you face many challenges. Rehabilitation can make a sizeable difference. As you undergo or recover from treatment, our team will develop a plan of care that meets your individual needs. Our goal is to support you throughout your cancer journey.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy helps to address any functional limitations- which may affect your quality of life. Physical therapy may help improve:

Chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy
Cancer-related fatigue
Impaired mobility
Impaired balance
Dizziness
Joint pain
Pelvic pain and incontinence

Occupational Therapy

Occupation therapy can assist you in your activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing, and preparing meals. It helps you maintain your independence as much as possible.

Speech-Language Pathology

Speech therapy helps those living with and beyond cancer to manage communication and swallowing. Treatments may include:

Rehabilitation of swallowing and eating after cancer treatments such as surgery and radiation therapy
Laryngectomy management
Cognitive therapy to improve memory, concentration, and recall

A Physician Order Is Not Required

The state of Ohio Physical Therapy Practice Act and Premier Health both allow patients to be seen via Direct Access. That means no physician order is required.

However, some insurance companies require a physician order, so check with your insurance plan or ask our team to assist you.
