Premier Health Wright State University Nursing Academy

The Premier Health Wright State University Nursing Academy offers Wright State nursing students an exciting opportunity to pursue their aspiration of becoming Registered Nurses. Aspiring nursing students can work an entry-level part-time position at Premier Health and study full-time at Wright State to earn their nursing degree while receiving full-time tuition assistance from Premier Health.

Benefits of the Academy

Nursing students participating in the academy will gain real-world, hands-on experience to become practice ready upon graduation. Additionally, nursing students will have access to full-time tuition assistance, lowering or eliminating out-of-pocket tuition costs, allowing them to focus on their studies and experience. Importantly students will have access to full-time employment in nursing at Premier Health after graduating.

Jumpstart Your Nursing Journey

High school seniors interested in pursuing a nursing career are encouraged to attend Wright State University to earn their Bachelor of Science in nursing and participate in the Premier Health Wright State University Nursing Academy. The Premier Health Wright State University Nursing Academy provides students with the education and skills needed to succeed while earning a paycheck. Wright State nursing students can join the Premier Health team in entry-level part-time position such as safety companion, home health aide, and patient care technician.

Eligibility Requirements

Participants must work part-time at Premier Health (24 hours per pay period) while attending Wright State University full-time as a nursing student (12 credit hours minimum)
Participant must qualify for in state tuition
Participant must satisfy all Premier Health pre-employment requirements
Participants must complete courses to receive tuition assistance from Premier Health
Participants must be financially responsible for payment of any WSU educational fees not attributable to a completed course
To remain eligible for the program, participating students must remain in good standing at Premier Health and Wright State University.
