Yvonne Decker, ACNS, CNRN
Yvonne Decker earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Saginaw Valley State University in 1988, her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Wright State University in 1993, and her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Wright State University in 2003.
Her nursing career has been predominately neurology-focused, starting as a bedside nurse in the neuroscience unit at Miami Valley Hospital, developing a stroke program at Middletown Regional Hospital, and working in the general neurology office setting. Yvonne’s current role is as a key player on the stroke team, caring for acute patients in the hospital setting. Her other nursing roles include Director of Education and Organization Development with the Mercy Health Systems. She is a retired lieutenant colonel from the Ohio National Guard where she served as a Nurse Executive Officer and Nursing Squadron Commander.
Yvonne is certified in Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS). She is currently enrolled in the NETSMART stroke fellowship in vascular neurology.
She is a board Certified Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist through the American National Certification Center. She is a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse, and a Stroke Certified Registered Nurse.
