COVID-19 Self-Pay Tests
You can schedule a COVID-19 self-pay test using the CompuNet Direct service. You pay for your test with a credit or debit card. Two options are available: the PCR (nose swab) tests and the COVID IgG Antibody test (blood test).
PCR Test
The PCR (nose swab) test is the gold standard for accuracy in diagnosing COVID-19. Choose the PCR test:
- When you have symptoms of COVID-19
- For required documentation when you travel
- To confirm results of a previous test
- If you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19
Results are generally available within a couple days. If you need your result for travel, let staff know when you arrive so they can expedite your test results.
Cost: $100, paid by credit or debit card
IgG Antibody Testing
Testing for antibodies (blood test) after COVID-19 passes can provide peace of mind regarding previous symptoms. Antibody testing (blood test) for COVID-19 can potentially tell you if you have had a past COVID-19 infection. Antibody testing is available through CompuNet. Learn more.
Cost: $65
Getting Test Results
CompuNet will collect and forward specimens to its core lab in Moraine for testing. Results are available in MyChart (for patients whose physician ordered the test in Epic) or through CompuNet’s patient portal, My Labs Now.
Oral Antiviral Medication Available
If you test positive for COVID-19, and your symptoms began less than five days before your test, you may be able to take an oral antiviral medication that can help lessen your symptoms. You can schedule a virtual visit with your primary care provider.
