Breast Ultrasound
Premier Health offers breast ultrasound to follow up on a known breast issue. We use breast ultrasound to distinguish between solid tumors and fluid-filled cysts and to evaluate lumps that are hard to see on a mammogram.
Ultrasound isn’t used for routine breast cancer screenings without a mammogram because it doesn’t consistently detect certain early signs of cancer.
