Pharmacy Residency Program

We are expanding our programs. Our PGY1 program is growing from two to four positions, and we are adding two new programs: PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency and PGY1/2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) Residency. We are in the process of updating our website.

ashp-logo-350x500(1)The Miami Valley Hospital PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program offers pharmacy residents a great opportunity to practice at a Level 1 Trauma Center and comprehensive teaching hospital. We have been graduating well-trained pharmacists who are ready to practice at the top of their license since 2016. The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency conducted by Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH is accredited by ASHP.

Miami Valley Hospital is a full-service, acute care hospital located in Dayton, OH. As the largest health care provider in the region with 970 licensed beds, Miami Valley Hospital operates the area’s only Level I Trauma Center with air medical services, high-risk obstetrics, perinatal center and Level III NICU, all in the same facility. The hospital has been recognized by National Research Corporation as a Consumer Choice Award winner in the Dayton market for more than 20 years. Miami Valley Hospital and its additional sites at Miami Valley Hospital North in Englewood and Miami Valley Hospital South in Centerville are part of Premier Health, which also encompasses Atrium Medical Center in Middletown and Upper Valley Medical Center in Miami County. Miami Valley Hospital is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and is affiliated with Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. It was designated as an IDSA Antimicrobial Stewardship Center of Excellence in 2019 and provides ECMO services to both neonates and adults. It is fully accredited by The Joint Commission.
