Ingredients
- 1 medium head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef (ground round)
- 2 cups cooked brown rice
- 15-ounce can tomato sauce (use sauce with no added salt to reduce salt content)
- Mrs. Dash or other no-salt seasoning
Instructions
- Wash cabbage and remove damaged leaves. Cut cabbage head in quarters, then diagonally slice off the core. Cut into approximately 1-inch pieces. Put 1 inch of water into a large pot, bring it to boil, then add cabbage; cover to steam. Cook approximately 15 minutes to desired consistency.
- Brown ground round and drain.
- Add tomato sauce and seasoning, stir.
- Add cabbage and rice, stir.
