Safety Alerts: Medication Barcode Scanning and Use of Alaris Interoperability

Medication barcode scanning and use of Alaris® interoperability are two safety mechanisms that we have implemented to support you, as nurses, from making unintentional medication administration errors. Some nursing departments are outperforming our current targets. We would like to congratulate the following departments on their success and thank them for their focus on these critical safety mechanisms.

Congratulations to the following units that have consistently achieved greater than 80 percent compliance with Alaris interoperability!
