When we look at reducing the risk for ovarian cancer, there are a few things that jump out as being important. The first of which is that it appears that women who have more children reduce their risk for ovarian cancer as opposed to those who have never had kids before. Additionally, people who have been on birth control for long periods of time also appear to have a reduced risk for ovary cancer compared to those who have never used birth control before. Additional things such as having your fallopian tubes tied or removed may also help reduce the risk for ovarian cancers.
