Myth or Truth? Is the need for knee replacement mainly determined by the x-ray?

The amount of knee arthritis on an X-ray does not determine what our plan is although it is a determining factor in deciding if someone is a candidate for surgery; mostly their symptoms and how they’ve responded to treatment in the past as well as their X-ray is a determining factor.
