There are many different things that put people at risk for endometrial cancer. The most common ones that we see are patients who may have never had children before. We also see that patients that carry extra body weight and have increased body max index are also at risk for endometrial cancers. The main theme through the whole process is that there are unopposed estrogens in the body that over a long period of time stimulate the lining of the uterus and cause cancer. There have been some other things that may be associated to a much lesser extent with endometrial cancer such as endometriosis.
