How does Stereotaxis benefit those with abnormal heart rhythms?
The benefit of stereotaxis to patients stems from the accuracy with which a catheter or wire can be manipulated in the heart, and the safety of that manipulation. Both of these facets are greatly enhanced by the use of this magnetically driven robotic system that allows a physician to manipulate the catheter. In addition stereotaxis can reduce x-ray exposure and radiation to the patient by up to 90 percent.
