When should I use heat and when should I use ice?

Heat versus ice, very deep question comes up often. The question is which should I use to help my arthritic pain? The answer is there’s really no scientific reason to favor one of the other. But what I have found helpful is to maybe warm up the joint with a heat before doing your exercises, and then ice your knee or affected body part down afterwards. This seems to be a good combination but there’s certainly nothing wrong with experimenting and see what works best for you.
