What is the prevalence of pelvic organ prolapse?

The prevalence of any sort of pelvic disorder is close to 50% of women. And when you talk about women over the age of 55 it's over 50%, well over that. Specifically to pelvic organ prolapse it's about 10 to 15% of women are fairly symptomatic to it and seek treatment for that. And then it's a slightly smaller percentage that will then go on and get surgery for it. But there is other treatments besides surgery and so the remaining percentage will get those treatments done.
