When speaking to a physician, should family history only include first-degree relatives?

When discussing your family medical history with your doctor, it’s important to not only let your doctor know, what first degree relatives had in terms of diseases, but also more distant relatives and this is especially important with cancers that may not affect every generation but may still be in the family history.
