Hearing and Balance Rehabilitation

If you have problems with hearing and/or balance, our specialists, led by an audiologist, can identify, diagnose, and treat your disorder. We use advanced technology to determine the reason for your hearing or balance problem, the extent of the damage, and its impact on your daily life. After thorough testing you’ll receive a diagnosis and recommendation for the most appropriate treatment.

Conditions That Affect Hearing and Balance

Premier Health specialists diagnose and treat these common conditions:

  • Nerve-based hearing loss
  • Fluid in the ears
  • Chronic ear disease
  • Congenital hearing loss and trauma
  • Motion sickness
  • Vertigo that feels as if you are moving or spinning
  • Viral balance disorders
  • Meniere’s disease – an inner-ear disorder that causes dizziness, ringing in the ears (tinnitus) hearing loss, and a feeling of fullness in the ear

What You Can Expect

If you suffer from hearing loss, our audiologist will perform a comprehensive hearing evaluation using the latest technology to determine your level of hearing loss and amount of amplification that will best suit your needs. A wide variety of hearing aids and other assisted listening devices will be considered and discussed with you. Custom fitting and thorough education are included, along with follow-up appointments to ensure your device is right for you.

If you feel dizzy or off-balance, our Vestibular and Balance Program uses the latest technology to determine the reason for your imbalance. The program combines the knowledge of ear, nose and throat specialists with the diagnostic efforts of an audiologist and treatment available through a physical therapist. We’ll recommend appropriate treatment, along with education and follow-up to ensure your condition improves.
